Jeanne Flood Wilson (Mitchell)

Jeanne Flood (Wilson) Mitchell of Hoover, AL, passed away on May 30 after a short illness. Jeanne was born on May 4, 1944 in Paducah, KY, to Jesse Monroe Flood and Bobbie Nell Flood. Jeanne was preceded in death by both parents. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Steven D. Mitchell, and by her daughters, Pam Wilson Strickland of Hoover, AL, Kathy Wilson Garner (Steve) of Helena, AL, and Jenny Mitchell Haun of Johnson City, TN. She was affectionately known as "Neenee" to her six grandchildren and many of their friends. She is survived by her granddaughters, McKenzie Davis of Helena, AL, and Hannah Haun, along with grandsons Connor Strickland, Andrew Strickland, Grayson Garner, and Jacob Haun. Jeanne was a long-time member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover and served on the Women's Guild. Jeanne retired from AT&T in 1997 after 19 years. Among her many career achievements were her year long term as a Loaned Executive to the United Way and her term as the Birmingham Chapter's President of the National Association of Accountants. She was an avid supporter of the professional achievements of women. Jeanne loved flowers, painting, listening to music and spending time with her grandchildren. Jeanne will be dearly missed by a host of extended family and many good friends. She was loved by all. Family and friends will be accepted Monday, June 6, 2022 at 4:00pm at Prince of Peace Catholic Church located at 4600 Preserve Parkway, Hoover, AL 35244. Mass will be held at 5:00pm followed by dinner. Floral gifts can be sent to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or donations in honor of Jeanne can be made to The Canine Compassion Fund, Inc., 11550 Stonehedge Road, Northport, Alabama, 35475.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Jeanne Flood Wilson. She was a very pretty, nice classmate as I recall.
