Alton A. Horn Jr. Dec 26, 2010 Alton A. Horn Jr. “Santa Sonny” passed from this life on December 20, 2010. Mr. Horn was born April 13, 1943, in Paducah, Kentucky, to Alton A. Horn and Birdie E. Merritt Horn. Mr. Horn had resided in the Houston area for over 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Horn; children, Deana Horn Zakes and Alton A. Horn III; siblings, Bobby L. Horn, Lindsey A. Horn, Mary E. Followell and Willie J. Horn; grandchildren, Charlie Chastain, Renee Elkins, Michelle Elkins, Alton A. Horn IV, Serenity Horn, Catherine Zakes, Elizabeth Zakes, Peter Zakes; and numerous extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, at Dayspring Church, 3505 FM 1960 East, Humble, officiated by Pastor Oliver Stillwell and Pastor William Weston. A family graveside service will be held at Maplelawn Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 1 p.m. Arrangements were held under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
