Air Force(eight years, with one 13 month tour of duty in Vietnam), College (High Point University and Duke University, Mechancial Engineering), then working for various mfg companies. lived in 13 states and one foreign country-Canada. Hobbies are restoring old cars and trucks, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with the kids and grandkids.
I do remember one moment in time in my senior year at PT. I was selected by the Civil Air Patrol to represent the state of Kentucky at their 20th anniversary in May of 1962 in Washington, DC. Part of that trip was a visit to the White House and to meet John F. Kennedy in the Rose Garden (one of the highlights in my career). I had a perfect attendance record at PT and asked to keep that record due to the importance of the trip. My perfect attendance record was denied. That said, I was then selected to meet President Kennedy in the Oval Office and present him with a lifetime membership in the CAP. Well worth the loss of a PA record at PT ! Memories and impressions do last.
