Jackie Ray Lindblad, 67, of Paducah past away at 6:12PM on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital.

Mr Linblad was born in Huntsville, AL. to Leon and Virginia Lindblad and graduated from Paducah Tilghman in 1962 where he played baseball. In his early years, he worked for Operle Sign Co. Later he became self-employed as owner of Lindblad Seamless Guttering. He was of Baptist faith, an avid sportsman, big time hunter and taxidermist, often told hunting stories of trips to Alaska and trophy bucks and managed the Rice Hunting Club in Ballard Co.

Jackie is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 35 years, Claudia Mae Webb Lindblad: a daughter, Jennifer Lindblad Cummins of Paducah; stepdaughter, Kim Vannerson and Jim Riley of Paducah; stepson Van Vannerson and wife Jeannie of Kevil; a sister Carolyn Lindblad Adams of Lone Oak; a brother, Jim Lindblad and sister-in-law Patty Lindblad; six grandchildren, Logan Lindlad and wife Shannon, Ashley Lindblad of Paducah, Kyle Vannerson, Kasey Vannerson, Keri Vannerson, all of Kevil, and Kurck Riley of Paducah.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jared Leon Lindblad; a brother, Larry Lindblad; and his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Milner an Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Kenneth Brown and Rev. Don Pippin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodville cemetery.

Expression of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY and to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

My husband and I had an opportunity to spend time with Jackie following one of the earlier reunions. We both liked and admired the kind, witty, man he had grown to be.  So very sorry to hear of his untimely passing.
