Comments:

After graduating from Tilghman and while I was still attending the University of Louisville, my parents and siblings all moved to Atlanta. Therefore, I never returned to Paducah and sadly lost touch with most everyone except for Donna Morgan Carr. I moved to Atlanta shortly after college and have been here ever since. I met my husband of 50 years in Atlanta. He was a homebuilder before he retired. Together we have built many spec homes... houses in Watercolor, Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Hilton Head, S.C., Highlands, NC, Naples,Fla., Bray's Island, S.C. and Ford Plantation, Savannah as well as many in Atlanta. Building and decorating have been a passion of ours for many years. It was a really fun life. We are both retired now and I am enjoying not traveling so much. I can now stay home and be involved in the lives of my two grandchildren, Ben, 14 and Millie, 12. They live very close to us so we have been fortunate to be able to be a part of their daily lives. While Amy lives in Atlanta, my other daughter, Rebekah, lives in Venice, California. Both she and her husband are in the film industry. Her husband is a cinematographer who recently was director of photography for HBO Max's Edge of the Earth.

School Story:

I graduated from the University of Louisville and then worked on my Masters at Georgia State University. I taught elementary school in Louisville and then in Atlanta. About 15 years ago, I decided to resume teaching as a para professional...all the fun and not so much responsibility. I enjoyed it so much but did not realize how much things had changed since I left the profession...Math was REALLY HARD, even in the fourth grade..ha, ha! I never was much of a math student, even at Tilghman! I decided I probably needed to try something else. I began working at an antique/interior design store in Atlanta. It was amazing how many of my former PTHS classmates would wander into the store...and how many of them I actually still recognized!

Mary Ann, I didn't know that we shared a birthday! I hope you have a lovely day. Have you lived in Paducah for all these years? I just got back from Kentucky yesterday. We had a huge family reunion in Louisville. I will always miss Kentucky!

I did not know Shiela in highschool, but I wish that I had.  It appears that she was a wonderful person. I so apreciate everything that she did for the class of 1962. I hope that her legacy continues with the PTHS websight.

Happy birthday, Nancy. I hope you will have a wonderful day and will be surrounded by lots of family and friends. You are so fortunate to still be living in Paducah where you grew up. Is Bill still in the homebuilding business or has he retired? My husband's career was also building homes. It is a great business to be in...with so many perks! Wouldn't you agree? My husband and I are about to return to Louisville for a family reunion with at least 80 members attending. I love Kentucky and will always be a "Kentuckian" at heart. Again, have a great birthday!

It is hard to believe that we have children that are almost 50 years old, but I suppose that is what happens when you are about to turn 80...HA! I also have two girls and they are about the same ages as yours are. Have a happy birthday, Theresa.

Happy birthday, Larry, a few days early! Are you still playing golf? I remember running into you on a plane many years ago and you were headed to a golf tournament...small world, isn't it?

Marilyn, Happy birthday! Are you still playing golf these days? You must be because it appears it is keeping you so young looking. Actually, you still look like your graduation picture (except, of course, the hair color...Ha ha!)

Happy birthday, a day late, Peggy Ann...lucky you to be able to spend your birthday in Ft. Myers! My husband was also a homebuilder. One of the things he specialized in doing was building spec homes in resort areas. He actually built one in Port Royal in Naples. It did not immediately sell so we furnished it and had the fun of using it until it sold. I love that area of Florida and you are so fortunate to be there!
